Run Thorpe Park 5k & 10k

Please be aware that in order to enter the resort and come through the turnstile you will need to show your confirmation email from RunThrough or ‘Let’s Do This’ to the Thorpe Park staff.
You will then be given a wrist band which must be worn at all times.
Start Times:
5k & 10k – 8:30am
Due to rides opening and park opening to the public at 10am, there is a strict cut off time of 9:40am (70 minutes). We ask that those running close to the finish time please notify staff and we will arrange an earlier start time of 8:15am for you.
Race pack Collection
**ALL RACE PACKS ARE TO BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY**
All entries will be assigned a number at registration.
To collect your number, make your way down to the collection desks on Sunday morning.
It will take around 15 minutes to collect your number, so please arrive early.
You will only need one number attached to the front of your shirt.
Your timing chip will be attached to the bottom of your race bib and needs to be attached to your shoe as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number on at all times during the race.
At the finish, you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).
Collection Times:
7:00 – 8:00am
When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!
Race Start
The race will have a warm up in the event village 15minutes prior to the race start time.
After the warm up, estimated finish times will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation.
During the race
There will be marshals all around the course as well as kilometre signs and arrows.
The course is on the paths in the Resort. It will be 1 lap for the 5k and 2 laps for the 10k.
Please keep count of your laps during the race.
If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.
Please discard any water bottles or rubbish near the course signs and bins during the race.
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal and Love Corn which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

Car Parking
All directions on where to park at the Resort when you arrive will be clearly signposted on the day of your visit. Car parking will be FREE for those participating in the event until 1pm, after this time you will need to pay for parking.
Those leaving the car park before 1pm will need to push the help button to be let out of the car park. It is not necessary for guests to display a car parking ticket on their car.
By Train
Regular South Western Trains run from Waterloo direct to Staines, which is the recommended railway station for travelling to Thorpe Park Resort.
Approximately 5 trains run per hour to and from London Waterloo, with a journey time of between 30 to 50 minutes. Staines can also be reached directly via other mainline stations.
Reading: Trains run approximately every 30 minutes with a journey time of 46 minutes, and a less frequent service running on Sundays.
Weybridge: Trains run approximately every 30 minutes with a journey time of 29 minutes, and a less frequent service running on Sundays with 1 train every hour.
Windsor & Eton Riverside: Trains run approximately every 30 minutes with a journey time of 14 minutes.
Toilets
Toilets are available in the lower dome. There are also lockers available to use there too.
Baggage
Refreshments
There will be a water station on course as well as at the finish. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event. Costa coffee will be open from 7am in the Dome so runners and spectators can purchase a drink there before the run.
Results
Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race, which will be made available on our photos page after the race.

Spectators
Spectators can buy their tickets here. Please be aware that spectators will need to enter the park before 8:30am. Spectator and race tickets will be void after 8:30am and will not be permitted entry after this time.
Please note that dogs are NOT allowed at this event.
